August Leaflet   now avaiable online, from the Church or by requestThe Scots’ Church, Melbourne was founded in 1838 by Rev. James Forbes, a Church of Scotland minister who came from Aberdeenshire. The present building was opened for public worship in 1874.

As a member of the congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria, in Christ and founded on the Holy Scriptures, we seek to be

Uplifting in our worship of Almighty God

  • faithful in our devotion to the Word of God both written and living
  • caring in our fellowship with one another and with visitors
  • generous in our outreach to the community in which God has placed us.

We encourage anyone who can share in the basis of our faith to become members of the Church, but we welcome the involvement of all people in our activities whether they are members or not.

Senior Minister's Message

Scots' Church is a diverse and eclectic body of God's people who come together each week to worship God in a variety of styles and settings (See "About Us"). Beyond our weekly gatherings, we seek to love and serve the Lord by being faithful in our devotion to the Word of God, caring in our fellowship with one another and visitors, and generous in our outreach to the communities in which God has placed us.

We would be delighted to meet you at any of our church services, or at any of our other public meetings and functions.

Hopefully, you will find all the information you need in these pages, but please don't hesitate to call our office if you want to know more about the Christian faith, the Presbyterian Church, Scots' Church or the range of activities and ministries that we're involved in.

Rev. Douglas Robertson

Senior Minister
