‘We will…tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might and the wonders that he has done.’
Psalm 78:4
Babies, toddlers, children and teenagers are all part of the coming generation. Our desire for each one is that they, as Psalm 78 goes on to say, will put their hope in God.
We want to see children and young people in our midst growing to know God better so that they will stand for him throughout their life. We want them to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ more and more. We want them to hold out the gospel to others. To this end we pray for them and we teach them the Word of God. We partner with their parents and we model for them as best we can what a Christian community should be.
Practically, we run groups and programmes for all ages that focus on teaching the Bible within a loving Christian community. The groups and activities listed in these pages are merely the means that we pray God will use to help children and young people flourish as they grow in maturity in Christ.
Our midweek small group Bible Studies are really important to our church life together at Scots'. Many of us find that meeting up with a small group of people during the week to help one another understand God's Word better and to pray together really helps us to grow in our relationship with God and with one another.
