The Scots’ Church Melbourne is seeking its next Senior Minister
The Pastoral Charge of the Scots’ Church Melbourne is now vacant. After 19 years of faithful service, Rev Douglas Robertson has returned to his native Scotland to take up a call to Crown Church, Inverness. He is the 13th minister to have held the charge since the Scots’ Church was founded in 1838.
Currently, the charge includes 436 communicants and adherents across three main congregations. These are:
- The Scots’ Church general congregation, worshiping in the Scots’ Church building,
- The Indonesian Christian Church; an Indonesian-language congregation worshiping in the next-door Assembly Hall, and
- A cross-cultural congregation, St Stephen’s, worshiping in its own buildings and grounds in the inner north-western suburb of Flemington.
A team of three ministry assistants, together with a guest preachers program is providing continuity during the vacancy.
Anyone feeling what might be the call of God on their heart to take up this vital ministry in the heart of Melbourne can download the Kirk Session’s approved selection criteria at this link:
