A Four Week Series on Zoom
In 1517, Martin Luther challenged the Roman Catholic Church of his day, kick-starting the Protestant Reformation out of which our Presbyterian church emerged.
Beginning on Tuesday evening 23 November, Rev Phil Court will present a series of four weekly talks in a brief look back on this turbulent period.
What are some of the key Bible passages that fuelled the Reformation?
What is it about our doctrine, worship and practice as Presbyterians that mark us as a Reformed church?
This series will consider the Reformation from four perspectives. We will:
• Focus on Martin Luther on 23 November,
• Focus on John Calvin on 30 November,
• Focus on the English Reformation on 7 December, and
• Focus on the Scottish Reformation on 14 December.
As with the recent "Discovering the Bible" series, participants will be provided with selected reading material week-by-week.
Each session will be conducted via Zoom, commencing at 7.00pm and concluding at 8.30pm.
